Youth Connection Programs at Wilmette Junior High School

The DEN is a free, supervised, after school program where 7th and 8th graders can do homework, socialize with friends, and play games.  The DEN takes place in the WJHS Commons, Monday-Friday, 2:45-5:00pm.

Homework Club takes place Monday-Thursday, 2:45-4:00pm, in the Library Media Center.  An adult coordinator is available to assist.

Art Club meets in the art room on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:00-4:00pm.  Students can attend any time.  A small semester fee of $50 for supplies is charged.

Creature Feature is a chaperoned Halloween movie fest that takes place at the DEN on Friday, 10/23/15, 5-7pm..

The Youth Connection Theatre Experience provides students who are interested in performing or in the technical aspects of theatre with the opportunity to work on the production of a live theatre performance.  The play Lion King, Jr  is scheduled for Friday April 1st, Saturday April 2nd, and Sunday April 3rd 3rd, 2015.  Please contact Karen Funari at karenfunari@yahoo.com for more info.

Battle of the Bands is an annual event where student bands and individual performers can showcase their talents for family and friends in the WJHS auditorium.  (Scheduled for 2/5/15)
